Can Chinese FM modulator jam the GPS frequencies?

Hello, I’ve heard recently that some Chinese FM modulators can jam the GPS signals, how can it be?

Hello Mary!

You know, there are a huge variety of different Chinese FM modulators presented on the market but some people don’t even know what this is. FM modulator is a little gadget that you will have to attach into your car lighter slot and plug a USB memory stick in it.

That device will read music, that is saved on that memory card and transmit it on some frequency of FM band, so you’ll be able to receive that music with your FM receiver. This device is made for people that have cars that are not compatible with USB.

Most of those devices use the 86,6-96 MHz frequencies and they can’t physically jam the GPS system, because its signal are on 1227,6 and 1575,42 MHz. So, use that the working frequency bands are totally different and they stand so much far away from each other that Jammer-Store may claim that there can be no real interference between them.

It is a myth. The signals that can jam GPS are on 1227,6 and 1575,42 MHz. If you need to jam GPS it is better to use some of our GPS jammers, especially this one! So you can make a bet with people who told you so and than all you will have to do are to send the link to this question to them. And the bet is all yours.

Good luck!
